Workshop Series Announced

May 22, 2012 Comments Off by

In conjunction with Beauty and Belief: Crossing Bridges with the Arts of Islamic Culture, the MOA is excited to announce a series of workshops for adult audiences. Participants will work with professionals to learn about a variety of topics related to Islamic culture. They will engage with artwork from the gallery and create hands-on art projects to take home.

The Beauty and Belief Workshop Series will feature explorations of the 99 Names of God, music and dance in the Middle East, the scientific tool of astrolabes, and the use of geometry in Islamic Art. These workshops will be presented on select dates in June, July, and September, on Fridays from 1:00-4:00 pm. Workshops are free, but space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please check specific workshop listing for details on how to register.
