The Museum of Art is excited to announce that Krisanne Hastings has officially joined the museum staff as the new Museum Educator for School and Family Programs. Hastings has several years of experience working in other museums and art education programs and has spent the last year developing the BYU Museum of Art’s K-12 and family programs in a temporary position at the museum.

Of Hastings’s work, Ann Lambson, Head of Education, said, “She has done an incredible job of building up these programs through university and local partnerships.”

After completing a BA in Art History at BYU, Hastings earned her MA in Art History from the University of York in England. Before and after her graduate studies, she worked in the education and development departments of several museums – the Portland Art Museum; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Art Museum of South Texas; and the Salt Lake Art Center. In addition, Hastings spent two years in Korea, a summer in Mexico, and time at the Multnomah Art Center in Portland teaching art to children. The MOA and its visitors will greatly benefit from her experience.
