Designed for children ages seven to twelve years old, costume tours at the BYU Museum of Art give children the chance to imaginatively explore the setting and context of the MOA’s Permanent Collection of American Art.
Unlike a traditional museum tour, costume tours allow participants to dress as the subjects from paintings in the newly-opened Becoming America. Participants are encouraged to find their own character in the galleries while a docent shares information, stories, and activities dealing with the diverse peoples and cultures that have helped shape our great country, including Civil War soldiers, Jewish immigrants, astronauts, and the 19th-century European elite.
To schedule this free, 30-45 minute tour for your group, please call 801-422-1140 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Groups must have at least five, but no more than ten participants. Tours must be scheduled two weeks in advance. At least one chaperone is required.
