The silent film Wild and Woolly is a farce starring Douglas Fairbanks as Jeff Hillington, the son of a wealthy railroad czar. Hillington fantasizes about the Wild West of cowboys and Indians. When he travels to Bitter Creek, Arizona, on business for his father, the townspeople turn Bitter Creek into a piece of the Old West. Hillington takes over the town and the Indians; and in the end, he gets the girl, too. The fantasy farce was a hit with audiences in 1917.
The MOA will show the full-length movie in the museum auditorium on Thursday, March 31st at 7pm. Admission is free.
