Max Thalmann Prints on View
Monday, November 10, 2014—Friday, November 14, 2014 | 10:00 AM—4:00 PMIn connection with the new long-term exhibition, In Word and Deed: Five Centuries of Religious Art, the MOA will showcase original works on paper in the Print Study Room on select dates for open viewing and study. Woodcut prints from the Passion series by Max Thalmann (1890-1945) will be on view November 10-14 from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Following World War I, artists such as Thalmann sought to convey the social, religious and cultural turmoil of the age through psychologically- and politically-charged depictions that expressed the angst of their era. Thalmann
