Membership and Giving Overview

The Brigham Young University Museum of Art is unique. Its mission is to create a warm, spiritual environment where the heart and mind of the visitor are brought together to seek knowledge and values, self-affirmation and spiritual understanding through art. Yet, 90 percent of the Museum's budget comes from donor support. There is constant pressure on the Museum to annually acquire funding for operations, acquisitions and exhibition programming. At the same time, the museum has been given the mission of providing educational experiences for a wide and varied audience, including BYU students, elementary and secondary students, and the public in general. This is a difficult - but important - mission. It is a mission that is almost impossible without assistance from generous donors and members.
