Submit your own creative self-portrait to the SNAP! online competition

In conjunction with the exhibition: Mirror Mirror: Contemporary Portraits and the Fugitive Self | Ashton and Jackman Galleries | October 23, 2009 through May 8, 2010.

We invite you to submit your entry as a digital file to: byusnap@gmail.com

This is your opportunity to express your creativity and devise a self-portrait that captures your own personality in a unique and imaginative manner.

You are also invited to participate in the online voting for the winning entries. Anyone can enter this online competition and the voting is open to the public.

• Simply email your digital file any time between midnight October 22 and midnight on December 1. Digital files should be no larger than one megabyte. Participants may not submit more than one entry each for this competition. Don’t forget to include your name and contact information in the body of the email.

• Online voting for the most interesting and imaginative self-portraits begins on December 9 and continues until January 19, 2010. Just go to Museum of Art's homepage to view all of the entries and to register your vote.

• Entries that receive the most online votes will be displayed at the BYU Museum of Art (MOA) on January 21, 2010. The outcome of the project will be the subject of a panel discussion that will take place at the MOA at 7:00 p.m. on January 21, 2010 when the winning entries will also be announced in the MOA Auditorium on level 2.

Please note that although participation is free and open to all, the MOA organizers reserve the right not to include any entries in this competition.
