Dr. Mark Kenoyer, Professor of Archaeology and Cultural Anthropology and Director of the Center for South Asia at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, will present an overview of the Indus Civilization of Pakistan and Western India, with an emphasis on recent discoveries related to textiles, writing and major craft technologies.
This illustrated lecture, held in conjunction with the MOA’s exhibition Fabric of Belonging: Exotic Quilts from Pakistan & India is co-sponsored by the BYU Department of Anthropology, BYU Department of Asian Studies, and the BYU Museum of Art.
