DECEMBER 4, 2009 -SEPTEMBER 25, 2012
This exhibition will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the BYU art collection, tracing its development from the first University art acquisition in 1909 to the purchase of Dan Steinhilber’s Hangers in 2009. This exhibition shows the vast spectrum of art that BYU has collected over the years. The Universitie’s art collection has grown to nearly 17,000 works housed in a state-of-the-art museum. It features the development of the University art collection through the display of 150 outstanding works that have been acquired over the past century. This created a legacy of collecting art at BYU and a legacy of philanthropy that has enriched the culture of the University and the community.
