“At Bethesda’s Waters”: A Special Series of Gallery Talks for Education Week
This year, the BYU Museum of Art celebrates 20 years since acquiring Carl Bloch’s remarkable painting, Christ Healing the Sick at Bethesda. From Tuesday through Friday of Education Week, the Museum offers free 20-minute docent-led explorations of the painting starting at 12:15 PM. As capacity is limited, we ask those who wish to join one of these sessions to register in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 801-422-1140 (leave a voicemail with your name, session date, and number of participants).
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, join us for a guided exploration of Bloch’s painting, where our experts will prompt new discoveries and insights about this familiar work.
On Thursday, we will host a special presentation about the artist Carl Bloch and his interpretation of this miraculous Gospel narrative.
Gallery Talks are free, 20-30 minute activities where our expert curators and educators share insider insights on their favorite artworks and exhibitions. Join them for detailed discussions where you can ask questions and gain deeper appreciation for beloved artists and artworks!
