Family Arts Festival: Art Staycation Week 2 – Material Matters
Are you ready to play with your food? Or with other unconventional artistic materials? As you explore our new Vik Muniz: Extra-Ordinary exhibition you’ll see how one artist makes iconic artworks out of unexpected things! After this session, you and your family will have a chance to do the same. What will your child create? And more importantly with what will they create it? The first 240* to register will also get to pick up a free take-home art kit based on the activity!
*Registration for this activity is now closed, and all art kits are currently reserved, but you are still welcome to drop by the MOA with your family; ask at the Front Desk if any Family Arts Festival materials are available. We also invite you to explore and register for our remaining sessions here.
About the Family Arts Festival: This annual celebration of creativity helps art lovers of all ages play, create, explore, and more as they interact with some of the finest artworks the MOA has to offer. This year, the Family Arts Festival will be held in six unique sessions from June to August, each with its own free opportunities for children to witness wonderful artworks and create masterpieces of their own. Each session features a different MOA exhibition and a unique art-creation activity, so we welcome you to register for as many as you’d like, then attend any time during the week of each of your sessions. Supplies are limited, so register soon to ensure the artists in your family don’t miss this opportunity to playfully learn new skills!
