Curator Lecture: “Putting on a Show: The Making of Becoming America”

MOA Curator Kenneth Hartvigsen presents a special Curator Lecture entitled “Putting on a Show: The Making of Becoming America” at the MOA on Thursday, September 19 at 7 PM. Hartvigsen is the Curator of American Art at the MOA and curated the recently-opened semi-permanent exhibition Becoming America.

In this special Guest Lecture/Gallery Tour, Hartvigsen will share how the exhibition came about, what it takes to put on a museum exhibition, and why he chose the artworks he did include in the exhibition. The second half of the lecture will be a gallery tour inside Becoming America, as Hartvigsen will guide visitors through the exhibition to illustrate more about how this exhibition came to be.
