Slow Art Day 2022

Slow Art Day 2022

April 2, 2022
All Day

Slow Art Day is an international celebration decidated to encouraging people to look at art slowly. As the Museum will be closed on Slow Art Day, we’re celebrating the whole week with a series of virtual activities on our YouTube channel! Join us there to experience the wonders of taking your time with a work of art (and for a chance to win prizes at the MOA Store)! You’ll be surprised what you learn about each artwork – and about yourself!

Here’s what to do:

1. Go to our Slow Looking Activities playlist on YouTube, featuring several of our star student educators
2. Watch one or more of these five short videos and follow the instructions
3. Leave a comment on the video describing something you learned, noticed, or saw in a different light from having done the activity

Each person who comments will be entered into a drawing to win a prize! And everyone who participates will learn something new, not only about these artworks, but about themselves too!

There are five new Slow Looking activities on our YouTube channel, each featuring a different artwork currently on display at the MOA, and each with its own prize. Try each one to maximize your chance of winning!
