About Anthony Sweat
Professor Sweat received a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Utah and a M.Ed and Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction from Utah State University. Prior to joining the religious faculty at BYU he worked for thirteen years with Seminaries and Institutes of Religion as a teacher and administrator. He regularly teaches classes on the Doctrine and Covenants and his chapter “By the Gift and Power of Art” was recently included in the publication From Darkness Into Light: Joseph Smith’s Translation and Publication of The Book of Mormon
