We’re looking for our next curator! Candidates who specialize in American Art & Art History are encouraged to apply, though projects may necessitate working with other collection areas represented in the museum’s permanent collection or of public exhibition interest, in a variety of media. Although prioirity will be given to candidates with American Art History specialties, experienced curators in other areas of the museum’s collection are invited to apply as well. Key responsibilities will include the presentation and interpretation of the permanent collection of American Art, organizing and preparing special exhibitions with art from other institutions and collections, researching and publishing scholarship about art/exhibitions, and engaging different audiences and donors with museum programming. Ideal candidates will understand museum operations, work well in collaborative teams, and have experience preparing exhibitions. The position is one of specialized knowledge, research, scholarship, publication, and audience engagement as it is applied to exhibition and collection development and management.

Approximate Starting Salary: $59,000 – $76,500 DOQ
