Those who are believers in Christ are somewhat adept at deciphering the literary symbolism—parables, similes, metaphors, allegories and signs—found in the scriptures. This exhibit shifts the focus from understanding the scriptures to understanding and applying the same interpretative tools to understand and interpret works of art that use symbolism to represent similar religious truths. This exhibit features many Christian religious works of art that are a metaphor for the messages that we are taught in the scriptures. This exhibit is enlightening and increases spiritual knowledge.
