'Restoring Casts of the Gates of Paradise' with John Adams

Friday, March 13
2:00 PM
BYU Museum of Art

How did 42 damaged plaster casts from Florence, Italy become an 18-foot-tall masterpiece in Provo, Utah? Meet the man who made it happen: John Adams, the MOA's Manager of Exhibit Production & Installation. For the past decade, John and his team, comprised mostly of BYU undergraduate students, have worked on analyzing, repairing, restoring, treating, gilding, framing, and installing our very own Gates of Paradise at the MOA. In this unique event, he'll reveal just how he made it happen. You won't want to miss it!
