Annual Family Arts Festival Returns to MOA June 14

Families can enjoy an afternoon of educational activities celebrating the many cultures that have helped shape our great United States, Friday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the MOA during the museum's Family Arts Festival. A popular annual event at the museum, the festival is free of charge and open to the general public. Offerings this year will include Latin American music and dance demonstrations, pioneer storytelling, art making, Native American basket weaving, a photo booth and other activities related to
, an five-year exhibition featuring works from the museum's own collection currently on view at the museum. The related exhibition illustrates how America is shaped by outside and inside influences over a period of 250 years. Pieces include furniture, paintings, Native American art and other works that convey the dichotomous variety in American artwork. The Family Arts Festival will invite visitors to explore similar ideas and educational topics. The MOA Cafe will also offer special lunch rates for children from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the festival. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
