David Louis Jones, “Numbered

Numbered is a beautiful piece by David Louis Jones on display in the new exhibition

The Interpretation Thereof: Contemporary LDS Art and Scripture. The piece is large and envelops the viewer in an ethereal motif of circles. This grid of circles represents innumerable worlds created by God. Below the overlay of circles, vivid strokes of color and pattern evoke the energy of creation and cosmos, of elements fusing together to form new life.

But only an account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof,

give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power. And there are many that now stand, and innumerable are they unto man; but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them.
