Elder Kearon, President Reese attend opening of 'Spain and the Hispanic World'
January 31, 2024
The exhibition is now open to the public.
On January 25, the MOA invited a few special guests to a private ceremony to formally open our new exhibition Spain and the Hispanic World. Attendees included Elder Patrick Kearon of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, BYU President Shane Reese, Dr. Margaret Connors McQuade, Deputy Director & Curator of Decorative Arts at the Hispanic Society Museum & Library, and other scholarly, religious, educational, and community leaders, as well as special friends and donors to the Museum.
After brief remarks on the exhibition, its associated events, and its desired impact on the community, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, formally opening the exhibition. Guests then were able to explore the new exhibition. Spain and the Hispanic World is now open to the public through June 15, 2024. The exhibition is free and open to all. We invite you to watch the ribbon cutting above or view photos from the event below.
