Costume Tours

Designed for children ages 6 to 12 years old, costume tours at the BYU Museum of Art give children the chance to imaginatively explore the setting and context of the MOA’s Permanent Collection of American Art.

Unlike a traditional museum tour, costume tours allow participants to dress as the subjects from artworks on display. Participants are encouraged to find their own character in the galleries while a docent shares information, stories, and activities dealing with the diverse peoples and cultures that have helped shape our great country, including Civil War soldiers, Jewish immigrants, astronauts, and the 19th-century European elite.

Request this free, 30-45 minute tour for your group by completing this form. Groups must between 6 to 12 participants. Tours must be scheduled two weeks in advance. At least one chaperone is required.
