Dr. Philipp Malzl received a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Vienna, Austria, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Art History from Brigham Young University. His scholarship focuses on nineteenth-century Victorian art, with an emphasis on James Jacques Joseph Tissot. In his current role as Head of the Education Department at the BYU Museum of Art he oversees education programs, including tours and events. He also teaches courses in Art History and Museum Education at BYU.
