Evening for Educators: Eugene Tapahe

The Evenings for Educators series is held at locations across the state of Utah and feature speakers, hands-on workshops, and educational materials designed to help teachers integrate art into their curriculum. Teachers may receive in-service credit for attending these events.

Navajo artist Eugene Tapahe honors the earth and its Indigenous caretakers through his collaborative installation titled Kéyah (Diné for “land”)Taking the earth as his subject matter, Tapahe “focuses on the land, its [stewards], and foremost, creating a sense of unity and healing.” Come learn how Tapahe’s art can be incorporated into cross-curricular learning in your own classroom!
