Evening for Educators: 'Maynard Dixon'

Thursday, February 16
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

The Evenings for Educators series is held at locations across the state of Utah and feature speakers, hands-on workshops, and educational materials designed to help teachers integrate art into their curriculum. Teachers may receive in-service credit for attending these events. This particular event focuses on the works of Maynard Dixon.

Maynard Dixon is best known for his paintings; what people may not realize, however, is that he was also a poet. This exhibition looks at both painting and poetry and how they complement each other. Come see how students can use both poetry and painting to express their sense of place and personal identity!
