From the Vault: American Highlights and Recent Acquisitions

January 28, 2022 – September 7, 2024

Enjoy eighteen audience favorites from the Museum’s American collection in From the Vault: American Highlights and Recent Acquisitions. This new exhibition features artworks from some of our visitors’ favorite American artists, including Minerva Teichert, Norman Rockwell, John Singer Sargent, Dorothy Weir Young, Mahonri Young, and Daniel Ridgway Knight.

This exhibition also introduces several recent acquisitions to the Museum’s collection by American artists Ernie Barnes, Elizabeth Catlett, and Joseph Paul Vorst. These new artworks add depth and variety to the MOA’s ever-growing collection, and we invite you to see them for yourselves as they are displayed here for the very first time!

The Museum is indebted to its donors for their generosity in contributing to the quality of the MOA collection. In particular, we would like to thank Curtis Atkisson, Joyce Hill, and George Hill, whose donations allowed us to acquire the three new acquisitions in this exhibition.
