Is it a Genuine Gilbert Stuart?

We have a lovely portrait at the MOA that is ostensibly by Gilbert Stuart, the American artist who painted the picture of George Washington on the one dollar bill. We have been trying for a few years to determine whether it is really a Gilbert Stuart. Today we brought it out from our vault to compare it with a genuine Gilbert Stuart that is on loan from the New Britain Museum of American Art in Connecticut and hangs in our Yankee Spirit exhibition.
