On this day in 1969, spaceflight Apollo 11 landed on the Moon, and Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to walk on the surface on the Moon. This lithograph by Robert McCall depicts the lunar landing with the small spacecraft approaching the surface of the moon, with the Earth looming in the background.
