Live Typewriter Poetry

Wednesday, July 01
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
BYU Museum of Art

We're celebrating the United States' 250th birthday with a Live Typewriter Poetry event featuring our American collection! Here's how it works:

  • Visit the Crossing the Divide exhibition between 10 am to 2 pm
  • Find an artwork you resonate with and one of our poets sitting at a typewriter in the gallery
  • Tell the poet about how that particular artwork connected with you
  • They will type up a unique poem based on your experience just for you!

Everyone is welcome to participate. If you're willing, we'd also love it if you shared your poem with us on Instagram by using #byumoa.
