Mahonri Young Collection

Like many America travelers in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, artists J. Alden Weir and Mahonri M. Young were enthusiastic collectors of European prints. Their tastes were eclectic, ranging from images of Renaissance and Baroque masters to works by contemporary European artists. This small exhibition is a selection of prints acquired by the BYU Museum of Art in 1959 from Mahonri Young's estate, including prints collected by Young, his father-in-law J. Alden Weir, and other members of the Weir family. Visit the Museum of Art website here.
