Minerva Teichert’s Book of Mormon series includes several imaginative portrayals of stories mentioned, but not elaborated within scripture. Here, she portrays the pairing of Ishmael’s daughters and the sons of Lehi as a lively courtship. While the text says little of these marriages, implying perhaps relationships of necessity, Teichert provides a happy atmosphere of romance and celebration. · Learn more about this work

Under an inky blue sky dotted with falling flakes, urban dwellers fight the battle of winter. Some bundle under long coats or hope their umbrellas will be adequate shields against the bitter night; others wield shovels in futile efforts to free their cars from their igloo tombs. Yet, in the meager reflections on the snow, dashes of yellow, orange, and pink suggest a small hope of Spring’s eventual return. · Learn more about this work
