MONUMENTAL MATTERS

Introspection and Experience in Contemporary Art

THINK BIGGER.

The Museum of Art is delighted to welcome nine of the largest artworks ever displayed here in Monumental Matters: Introspection and Experience in Contemporary Art. Featuring the works of iconic contemporary artists Anselm Kiefer, Rebecca Campbell, Paul Benney, Claudia Casarino, Georg Baselitz, and Mike Kelley, this exhibition is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience for anyone who witnesses it.

Comprised of everything from soil to tulle netting to Windex, these mammoth works measure up to 26 feet tall and up to 25 feet wide, and the ideas they invoke are even larger. The exhibition will be open from April 8, 2022 to August 12, 2023, giving awestruck visitors plenty of time to soak in these enormous sculptures, paintings, and mixed media works. You’ll need to see them to believe them.
