Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849),

Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai was born on this day in 1760. He is most known for his series of prints of Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, the most famous perhaps being this print, which is featured in many collections around the world, including this one at the BYU Museum of Art.
