This Month's Project:
Celebrate the nation's 250th birthday with a brand new activity! Explore Homeward to the Prairie I Come by photographer Gordon Parks, where we will learn more about the art of photography and how contrast, perspective, and compostion can help create good photos. Afterwards, head into the studio to take your very own black and white still life with polaroid cameras!
Please note that, as the MOA will be closed on July 4, this will be the only Open Studio activity this month.
About Open Studio:
Each month in this free-choice, self-guided art-making experience for all ages, you’ll be inspired by different artworks on display, then create your own artistic responses in the MOA studio! Join us any time between 11 AM & 1 PM to participate. All are welcome, and registration is not required.
We typically hold new Open Studio activities on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, so drop by every month for a new activity featuring different artworks and materials!
