To those 1,300 people who attended Friday's opening of
Shaping America: Selected Works From the Permanent Collection of American Art, we
thank you for coming! For all those unable to make it, not to worry, the exhibition will be open five years. Visitors still have ample time to view the exhibition's 80+ works that illustrate how America has taken shape. Live jazz, great artwork, apple cobbler and ice cream made this event truly American. Over a dozen visitors have already contributed blanket stories of their own in the book provided at the end of the exhibition, and the informational kiosk has been useful for many patrons.
