This exhibition celebrates the life and work of Chinese American artist Mimi Chen Ting, whose dynamic paintings, prints, and performances from the 1960s to early 2020s continue to captivate audiences today. Over the span of five decades, Ting created a vibrant body of work that investigated movement in all forms: from the movement of the hand marking the surface of a canvas to the movement of bodies in space; from movements that organized musical compositions to the movement across oceans and borders that defined her lived experiences as an Asian American immigrant. Working in collaboration with the family of Mimi Chen Ting, the MOA is thrilled to introduce the rich breadth and depth of the artist’s work to new audiences.

Details to be announed.

The exhibition is curated by the Brigham Young University Museum of Art in collaboration with The Ting Family Living Trust and Artist Estate Studio. © 2026 The Ting Family Living Trust / Licensed by Artists Rights Society (ARS), NY.
