Torben Giehler: Lecture Recap

On October 4, Torben Giehler came to the Museum of Art auditorium and spoke about his work, which uses geometrical abstractions to enter into a dialogue between the real and the virtual. According to Max Henry, Torben Giehler's work speaks to the shifts in perceived reality brought about by the internet revolution. Fellow artist Jens Asthoff has also said of Giehler, “He is fascinated by virtual spaces which, even from the outset, always illustrate realities that are just possibilities - imaginary worlds floating between planning, construction, and unconstrained fiction.” To learn more about Torben Giehler visit the event page and Giehler's website.
