BYU Museum of Art
Under the Wave off Kanagawa, from Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji
Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), 'Under the Wave off Kanagawa,' from 'Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji,' c.1830-32, woodcut, 10 x 15 inches. Brigham Young University Museum of Art, purchase/gift of the Mahonri M. Young Estate, 1959.

Available from 10 AM - 4 PM

Each semester we host four opportunities to see a rotation of original, rare works on paper from Dürer, Rembrandt, Japanese woodblock prints, and 19th-century/modernist artists, artworks that, due to their extreme light sensitivity, cannot normally be displayed in exhibitions. From November 9-11, we invite you to our Print Study Room to witness iconic Japanese woodblock prints for yourself! Ideal for individuals and university classes, this rare opportunity will educate and inspire.
